Pewter and Glass Frost Decanter by Royal Selangor

Part of Royal Selangor's Frost range of glassware this 1L decanter has a pewter cooling coaster to keep your choice of drink suitably cold. The coaster features the Frost pattern of diagonal and diamond facets that represent fractured ice and will keep your beverage chilled for about 2 hours. Simply chill the coaster in the freezer for 3-4 hours and your drink in the fridge for an hour before use.

On the other hand, if you prefer a red wine remove the coaster and place the decanter directly on your table. The slightly conical base allows you to gently roll it and aerate the wine.

The decanter also comes with a microfibre placemat so if you are using the cooling coaster, place it on the mat to mitigate condensation on your table.

Pewter is almost maintenance-free as it does not react with the air to oxidise or tarnish. It can attract dust and dirt, but all that's required is an occasional wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Over time pewter develops a pleasing and subdued patina unique to the metal which is part of the beauty of investing in this material.
